"Pierre de Ronsard" rose is a vigorous climber. Flowers are large and full with over 40 petals opening to disclose a muddle of unfolded petals. The basic colour is creamy white, suffused with pink and carmine. The blooms repeat-flower through early summer and late autumn. It is almost thornless and can grow up to 3 meters. Information says it is perfumed but the roses I have in my garden have no perfume. Pierre de Ronsard (1524-1585) was a poet in the Court of Mary Queen of Scots and was a very keen gardener.

I think you live in Heaven! Oh SO beautiful...I would love to live surrounded by these sweet flowers...you are blessed! Come say hi :D
Incredible, enchanting. Your pathways are gorgeous and intriguing. It is cold and gloomy here, expecting snow flurries in Texas Friday. Your garden was just the thing I needed to warm up my day, You have created a paradise. Looks like something out of a fairy tale.
Are you sure you don't have wings? Cause what you do is magical.

Hai hai, what a beautyfull flowers.I just love your blog.thanks for your lovely comment on my blog.hugs Anneke. from holland
hermoso poema, hermoso personage, hermosas flores ..
besos

Wow! You have one of the most beautiful blogs I have seen!Amazing roses..wonderful photos..fantastic job! What a lovely blog!
Kiki~
When it is cold and dark here, it is always a respite to look at your beautiful blog with all its lovely summer colours. I love that pink rose.
Susie
What an amazing rose! I'd love to try to grow it here but I'm afraid it may not be hardy enough. Lovely, lovely arrangements!
Beautiful roses...this one looks similar to one I have in my garden called 'Past Times'.
You are lucky to be able to cut so many heads and display them amongst your collections.
Niki
Actually, the one I have is called 'Times Past'!
Niki
Your rose arches are perfect. I clicked to enlarge the pictures. Superb!!!
I love Pierre de Ronsard. Yours are SO healthy
Rob
Hello Maria Cecelia!!!
It is so refreshing to see your extroardinary roses! I just wish I could smell them! It also amazes me thet they come from vines from the 15oo's. Where I live, in Texas even the antique ones are only from the 1800's. It seems that your roses love where they live and grow out of the love you give them..Thrilling to see....
Thank you. Maryanne
How Fabulous!
I am excited to have come across your blog via Beadboard UpCountry. Can't wait to read through your previous blogs.
Those photos are completely scrumptious. Like other commenters, I was thinking that it looked very similar to climbing Ede, which I love. I can't wait until my young garden matures and I can cut armfuls of roses like the ones in this post.
Son increíbles éstas rosas...las conseguiré acá??
besos!
Marce
Fiquei fascinada por essas rosas!!!
Será que encontro mudas delas aqui no Brasil???
Maravilhosas!!
Beijos linda!
Hi Maria Cecilia,
That has to be one of the most beautiful roses I have seen.
What a beauty and love coming to your blog for a treat. I will write down the name of this and see if I can get it here. The soft colour and flowers are magnificent.
You are one game Lady doing the Sky Tower jump. I have only ever watched people doing it while we have been dinning at the Orbit Restaurant.
Have a lovely weekend
Hugs
Carolyn
Cara Maria Cecilia,
Well, I'd never. Like everyone else, I am out of breath. How do you manage? Witchcraft? No bugs... no draft, abundant sun.... Pure magic! Bacione, cara! Ingrid in Umbria
Besos.
it looks as if i should add this marvellous rose to my humble collection it could well become no. 12! is is really gorgeous and i love the contrast of those delicate flowers and the rough looking mountains in the background. con carino from ireland eliane
Hi. Thanks for your always lovely comments. I`m prepering bouth my house and my litttle shop for christmas. Here in Norway the winther is very long and dark, sp we are using a lot of lights indoors, electric and candlelights. The globe with the hanging hearts, are the childrens adventcalender. So there is 24 heartshaped cakes with the numbers in iceing, and a little present in every white bag. Every morning from the 1 to 24 december they open one bag. (I have 2 children, so they get 12 presents each at the end) The globe I made with papermache. I just love your roses, beautyful colours. Have a lovely week-end. Love Albertine.
What a stunning variety of rose ~ I can just imagine that you have roses in every room of your home. I also love your arched arbor and the stone path...so lovely. I hope you weekend is wonderful. ~jermaine~
Thank you so mutsh Maria Cecilia for the sweet comments.

Great flowers, great pictures. It it summer in your country?
Yes I pimp the furniture by myself!
Nice day!

Maria Cecilia, thank you for stopping by my blog. These flowers are so lovely! I have never seen such beauty.
Hello María Cecilia,
I am completely blown away by the images on your blog. They take my breath away, it is such a feast for the eyes. Do you grow those flowers yourself? This is such a lovely place to visit, so serene. Thanks so much for your kind comments on my blog and I'm so happy to have found your wonderful space!
Sharon :-)
Hi Maria, what amazing roses! The petal count is sky high, but I am sorry there is no scent to yours. But the beauty makes up for that shortcoming. The arches and pathways look so inviting, and so warm! It is cold here, we have had the hard killing frost that knocked down many of the green leaves. Winter is here.
Frances
How is my favourite rose lady? Darling, what a beauty you have displayed here. I love all the roses, the gorgeous dishes, vases and all the rest of the beauty you photograph for our pleasure. Heaven on earth! I wish to be adopted by you so that I can move in and be surrounded by this glorious place of yours. Have a lovely week my friend.
Love & Hugs

Your walkway and arbor full of them look breath taking, I bet the smell is lovely, I have a few English roses, but have never had them flower like this :) what do you feed them and do you prune them?
